Sequel to Beetlejuice? Hellz Yeah!

According to Filmology, a Beetlejuice sequel may be in the works.

David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith's production company KatzSmith has just signed a first-look deal with Warner Brothers, and the first thing on slate for them is the long-awaited sequel toBeetlejuice, the 1988 Tim Burton-directed hit starring Michael Keaton as the title character, with Geena Davis, Alec Baldwin and a young Winona Ryder. They want to make it clear it's not gonna be a remake, but a reboot, with "an advancement of the storyline," whatever that means.

So it's not gonna be a remake, which is good news. If it's further in the timeline, plot-wise, that could be interesting. But it's only going to be good if Michael Keaton plays Beetlejuice again and Winona Ryder reprises her role as Lydia Deetz.

I don't know...I'm a little torn on this. It could be awesome or it could be a bust. What do you think?
